Surrounding

Strategically located in the downtown of Jayapura, Fame Hotel Jayapura is surrounded by shops and Mall Jayapura within walking distance. There is also a daily local market called Pasar Mama-Mama located within 8 minutes walk offering fresh local produce. Holtekamp Bridge

Holtekamp Bridge located at Hamadi Beach, Jayapura City, the bridge was built to connect between Indonesia & Papua Nugini and it takes 30 minutes from Fame Hotel Jayapura.

Gedung Negara

Gedung Negara located in Dock 5. This house is where the Governor and President of Indonesia stay. Only 10 minutes from Fame Hotel Jayapura, the architecture is dedicated of Papua's mountain people house.

Base-G Beach

Base-G Beach is located in Dock 2. It is located 10 km away from Jayapura downtown. Base-G beach is a very clean untouched beach with crystal clear water. There are several lodges and benches built by local residents along the shore. In the afternoon, there are food stalls along the beach offering a variety of Indonesian snacks.

Jayapura City Tower

Jayapura City Tower is a popular spot to capture the beauty of Jayapura located 20 minutes away from the hotel. There is a TV station transmitter on the hill since it is one of the highest peaks in the city. Jayapura City Tower was inspired by the Hollywood Hill in Los Angeles. There is a big writing, “Jayapura City” placed on the hill.

Pasar Mama-Mama

Pasar Mama-Mama is one of Jokowi’s promises during the 2014 presidential election. He promised the Papuan residents to build a market for local sellers for free. The market was finalized in 2018. Papuan murals, paintings and designs can be found inside this modern market.

Mall Jayapura

Mall Jayapura has been operating since November 2012, known as the first mall built in the downtown of Jayapura. Its annual visitors reach up to 275.000 people, making it the biggest and busiest mall in Jayapura.
